White Company

(I was being minnie mouse)

necklace - Zara, jumper - White Company, jeans - Topshop, shoes - Kurt Geiger, ring - Topshop

This is the most perfect jumper I own. It's so simple and soft (and warm - perfect for winter). I think it's essential to have a light grey jumper in your wardrobe and this one is well worth the money, especially because you can wear it with pretty much anything and you can just throw it on!

Blue attack

white jumper - H&M, blue vest - Mango, skort - eBay, watch - Casio, shoes - FCUK

I love this jumper because you can wear another pretty colour beneath it and it just peaks through... not obvious, just a subtle slimmer. I kinda want to try a metallic-y material under it to create another type of look, similar to that of the new collection from 3.1 Phillip Lim (I love the way the collection contrasts a metallic fabric with a mesh and also his mixture of metallic on a matte suede, in the words of Rachel Zoe - I die). Notice the metallic shoes I wore ;)!

Tuxedo

leather jacket - vintage, shirt - Zara, jeans - Topshop, shoes - Office

Short monochrome post...

I wear black an awful lot, but today I decided to jazz it up with some 'colour' ... white because I'm still not over this monochrome trend (probably because I always wear black anyway haha!) I love this black and white shirt, it's so crisp and looks like a tuxedo but with the colours inverted and because it's white, it goes with everything!

More and more to my delight, it matches my new shoes! How cute are they by the way?! I remember being in Cannes during the summer and going past the Celine shop and gawping at the amazing display which included the gorgeous black and white heeled loafers but some of you young bloggers/blog readers will understand... a few hundred pounds isn't really in price range for me so I went on my way and cried my self to sleep over the fact that I couldn't have those perfect shoes (ok, that was a slight over exaggeration... but you get my drift). UNTIL, I came across these shoes in Office which were £62... a bargain compared to the real deal. The loafer with just the right sized heel so I can walk around town for a whole shopping day and not be uncomfortable, perfect. Not only that, but when I went to pay I discovered that they had been reduced by more than 50% to £26! I was so thrilled, as you can all imagine. If you want to pick up the same bargain, click here or alternatively see below and admire the true Celine's. Try not to drool all over your keyboard.

Tartan trend.

tartan trousers - Topshop

orange woollen tartan skirt - Topshop

pink chiffon tartan skirt - Topshop

tartan coat - Topshop

greet tartan kilt skirt - (similar) New Look

Winter is my favourite time of year, always has been, always will be! Tartan is such a wintery pattern and I'm not sure why. It seems to circulate most winters and I always look in wonder at all the beautiful tartan collections appear on the runway. Last, year I bought a pair of grungy looking tartan jeans from Topshop and this year I've bought a lovely tartan skirt which looks more sophisticated. I can tell you that I'm pretty into the tartan trend and will hopefully be building my wardrobe around this trend for winter. I'm planning on purchasing the kilt-like baby pink and baby blue one and also the woollen white and orange one this weekend (AND perhaps the coat, if I have enough money!)
Whether it's a top, a coat, a skirt... there's definitely something to please everyone in this trend and can transform an outfit.

My take on the tartan trend...

turtle neck - H&M, belt - Primark, skirt - Zara, shoes - Dr.Martens, necklace - H&M, watch - Casio

I am absolutely in love with this Zara tartan skirt. It's not just that I'm obsessed with the current tartan trend but also the zips and the structure which is a twist to the normal, classic, kilt-like tartan skirt. However, I do often think that if you wear it in the wrong way... you can look like a slutty school girl gone wrong (especially, if you're as blind as a bat like me so have to wear glasses!) so I paired it with my chunky doc's to make this as far from school girl as possible.

Have you been obsessing over this trend? Post your tartan outfit links below and I'll take a look!

ps. You can probably tell that my new favourite shooting place is the stump in my back garden where my beautiful monkey puzzle tree used to be! As weird as it sounds... I miss that tree. Yes, I miss a tree. I'm a strange one.

Zara Skort - Take 2

shirt - Zara, skort - eBay (similar in Zara), shoes - Primark, watch - Casio

I've been a naughty blogger. I haven't posted in AGES. I miss it but I just don't have a lot of time with all the work I've been getting at sixth form. But here you go! I now have this Zara skort in white, and copies in black and blue and I'm never out of them... it's a wonder I actually manage to wear the rest of my clothes. I really would recommend you buy one because they go with everything and can make a boring outfit look really cool with the interesting 'envelope' front detailing (as I've heard it being described).

I promise I'll post again tomorrow in order to make up for missed time!

Country Bumpkin

shirt - Zara, vest - New Look, skirt - H&M, shoes - Topshop

When I came downstairs this morning, my dad said I looked like a 'country bumpkin', and it reminded me of Miley Cyrus - you know, before the crazy lady was witnessed. I like the way that the leather contrasts with the 'country bumpkin' kind of look and makes a whole new look.

The sun makes evil shadows on my face and blinds me... so I look moody haha!
