Is Halloween over?

earring and necklace set - Primark, top - H&M, jeans - Topshop, boots - Kurt Geiger, cape - Henry Holland

Ok... so I might not have got the message that Halloween has been over for nearly a month. Halloween is my second favourite holiday of the year (after Christmas of course) so I will carry on dressing like a vampire as long as I god damn please.

I can't help but love a good turtle neck at the moment either, this one is just from H&M but I'm on the look out for a cashmere grey one and a stripy one so if anyone knows where I can find one, give me a shout!

Subtle sparkles

One of the buys from a recent haul, of which I'm going to film and put on youtube for the first time ever ! I've recently got very into turtle necks and this one's not just plain black, this ones got very subtle little sparkles which shimmer depending on the light. It's very sweet for an all black turtle neck! I paired it with my big 'gorilla' coat, as my boyfriend calls it, my blue jeans from Forever 21 and my Kurt Geiger clogs.

You may have seen this necklace in the previous post, I'm obsessed with it now. It was previously my mums and apparently there is not another like it so I am quite happy to have this one off necklace!

HAPPY EASTER! (for yesterday, yes I know I'm behind!)

hippy chic

Shirt - Zara gilet - monsoon jeans - topshop shoes - kurt geiger (I own other shoes, I promise) gold cuff - charity shop bag - Primark watch - diesel

For mothers day, we did a number of various things which included going to a old mill called 'Salts Mill' and looking at all the lovely artwork and books on fashion, crafts and photography which I'm obsessed with! I also found some really useful books about how to make origami which is perfect for my textiles exam project - Oriental! Then we drove for nearly an hour to see the largest sculpture in england (or something like that) in the middle of the countryside, it was very nice but I was in these shoes, so unexpectedly having to walk (IN THE SNOW) through mud and stones wasn't ideal! Non the less, I did enjoy it! Then we treated my mother to bowling! I forgot my love for it!! I've improved since I last did it surprisingly woo!

This look was inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent show during Paris Fashion Week. I loved the deep colours and the various textures that were used. It was the right balance between masculine, with tuxedo jackets and fitted trousers, and feminine, shown with frilly tops and floaty dresses and the pieces were extremely practical and hippy-esque. Here are a few of my favourite pieces:

I MUST OWN THIS COAT SOME DAY.

double tweedy

beanie - ebay jumper - topshop skirt - topshop boots - doc marten bag - zara

the miracles of Leeds: very sunny, but somehow extremely cold. I'm not sure how but this is the way Leeds works if ever there is sunshine (which is very rare)! I was so excited by the sun that i went out pulled out a skirt and a black vest and went straight outside, being misled by the sun, I thought it was going to be extremely warm outside. I was wrong...it was still cold. Maybe not as cold as normal, but still... cold. So unfortunately I shuffled back into the house and changed. I was finally the right temperature in my new skirt from Topshop (WITH TIGHTS), my velvet docs, my Topshop jumper and a cute new beanie. I knew how fast the weather in England can change so I went and grabbed a coat just in case.

It actually got warmer as the day went on and after work I went for drinks with my boyfriend and his friends in Leeds.

How did you spend your unusually sunny weekend?
