London: Outfit 1

coat - Zara, trench - Debenhams, jumper - Zara, jeans - H&M (D.I.Y rips), shoes - Dr Martens, bag - L. K. Bennett, septum ring - Regal Rose

If you follow me on instagram (@gracemellor), where I do more up-to-date and regular posts, you'll know that I went to London about a week ago. As soon as me and my brother (the trip was for his birthday as he's obsessed with the city, much like I am) arrived in London we went to the hotel to dump our bags and get emerged into culture and art straight away. We headed to the Saatchi Gallery, personally my favourite gallery, to check out the newest exhibition. It was great, Saatchi never disappoints. Wish I could live there. I loved a lot of the pieces there this time, some of which have been posted on my instagram, but one that really stood out was the large silver statue (?) which is attached to the wall, which you can see above. I have forgotten the name and artist but I will look it up and let you all know! It was just so powerful and seemed to have a huge impact on most of the audiences.

My outfit was simple and comfy, as it should be for trekking around London and exploring. Docs, of course, the most comfy footwear ever. Simple jeans with ripped knees, comfy but chic and the white oversized turtle neck jumper I got for my birthday. Turtle necks are both in style at the moment, and comfy as hell (win win situation.) Originally I opted for just my trench, which I also got for my birthday, as it is light weight (I didn't want to lug a massive coat around London) and it's a timeless piece but it was quite chilly so brought my Zara coat too for good measure. I'm not a pleasant person when I'm cold, although I love cold weather (I'm weird, I know... I like to be outside in the cold, but wrapped up in layers and layers of knitwear and coats.)

What do you think of my outfit?

Gee xxx

  1. Love the cream jumper, it looks so cosy :)
