Entirely white ensembles caught my eyes at first when I watched this show in the form of separates, including a layered shirt dress, a longline waistcoat with slits, a maxi dress, fishnet trousers and tailored jackets, but the entire collection was absolutely incredible. After the whites finishes, the collection transitioned into black and white and blue and white prints, where there was a clash not only of prints but of texture too which is exaggerated as we move through the collection. Leather with fishnet, fishnet with pleats... I could go on.
My favourite bits from the collection are the burnt orange raw edge leather coat with the white inside, the juxtaposition between the bright colours is so bold; The strapless laser cut pinstripe dress which is so chic and simple yet looks formal and the silhouette is still very feminine with an slight tone of masculinity and probably the blue oversized top and trouser combo. The model looks so good in it and that fabric is amazing... lets see if I can pull off that look in Spring.
Roberto Cavalli
Cavalli's collection consisted of a lot of maxi dresses, pleated skirts, distressed denim with metallic accents and of course, as you'd expect from Cavalli, bold and vivid prints in tropical colours and a few animal prints.
The whole collection oozed sex appeal from the brown crocodile leather mini dress to the animal prints to the plunging deep V necklines and cut outs on the maxi dresses and the every day staple pieces such as biker jackets or tuxedo jackets had been stepped up with beautiful embroidered lace and embellished with beads and sequins or had leather details added.
