Pretty Little Thing's for sure

On Tuesday, I was lucky enough to get an invite from PrettyLittleThing.com to their press release for their newest collection! I was really excited and nervous too because as you might have read, I went to my very first blogger event on Sunday and so this was only my second! I travelled on the train to manchester and then had to find my way around the unknown city which was surprisingly easy with all the lovely people which helped me with directions... honestly, I was like a tourist! When I arrived at the immaculate and luxury Rosso Restaurant I realised that unlike the North Meet Up, this one was more exclusive with less than half the amount of bloggers so I wasn't sure what to expect. I immediately began talking to some incredible bloggers and after, we were greeted by the amazing Toni, who is super friendly, gorgeous and entertained some of us girls during dinner, and were lead to the higher level where we were handed champagne and offered canapes (which were delicious!) and we viewed their most recent collection.

I was absorbed by the collection and took plenty of snaps (sorry for the extremely heavy photo post) so that everyone could see just how amazing it was! There was 2 rails at either ends of the mezzanine, one  end was the sporty and denim genre of fashion and at the other end was the crochet, floral and neon, both of which definitely appeal to me (see below for more details)! Between the two rails there was 3 small tables of accessories including shoes, bags, jewellery etc. One of the tables which really stood out was the neon table. It was so bright and attracting and I suggest that EVERYONE purchases a pair of these incredible pair of neon heels because they can really make a plain outfit pop and they're under £30!

I also can't stress enough that although I had looked at the site many times and had so badly wanted to purchase some of the items, I haven't due to the fact that I'm very vary of buying of internet stores because I often find that the quality of items is poor. However, since yesterday I have been wishing that I had because the quality is absolutely sensational and now I have seen and felt the material and am confortable that these products will last me. I (and my mum, who was peaking over my shoulder while searching their site when I got home) have an extremely full basket and with the 30% OFF EVERYTHING at the moment, what better time to buy??

After we looked at the collection, dinner was served! I opted for the tagliatelli and the peppered chicken which was very tasty! And then the lovely Adam and Umar offered all us girls any cocktails and forced sambuca shots down us (I only had 2, don't worry) after having a cute group photo!

After a lovely day, I was also treated to a item of clothing of our choice, in which I chose a sweet, summery pinafore (see here), which I have to wait to wear until it's slightly sunnier/warmer unfortunately!

I suggest that everyone goes down to Pretty Little Thing and treat your amazing selves!

The 'Red Swirling Trouser' tale

Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in a village near a forest. Whenever she went out, the little girl wore red trousers, so everybody in the village called her 'Red Swirling Trousers' ...
You get my point. I've had these trousers for quite a while now, and they featured in a post a while back of a haul but I had never actually worn them. I bought them in awe of weworewhat.com and never had the confidence to wear them, but today I did! And I'm so happy I did. I got a few compliments on them, so I was very happy and when one girl asked me where they were from I proudly said 'from a charity shop' and she was so shocked!! I've made it my mission to compliment at least one stranger every time I leave the house from now on! It's such a pick me up and I think it would make me feel a lot more positive. Good karma come and get me! I do love the colour of these trousers, they are a little bit darker in person that in the pictures but non the less, they are bright and a reasonably statement piece so I paired them up with my H&M black turtle neck, my black belt from Sue Ryder and my Office shoes! 'All black everything' (except the trousers). The other reason I really love these trousers are they are a bit of an illusion. Even I forgot they were trousers until I started moving! They look very skirt-like when sitting or standing still but when they brush in the wind, the trouser form really comes out and it's quite refreshing!

I also wore my Kookai leather jacket to keep me warm in this chilly weather (even though Leeds is warming up!)

My hair is always skew-whiff and floaty and I honestly couldn't be bothered with it but I thought, a bad hair day would honestly ruin this lovely outfit so I put it in a low, messy bun inspired by the following:

I absolutely love these messy buns and I think it's a very refreshing change from the usual sleek hair. Although it's very classic and 'done'. The messy bun gives a chance for us girls with unruly hair to have the catwalk hair we've always dreamed of!
