Spring Transitioning

trainers - Adidas, trousers - Miss Guided, turtle neck - H&M, bag - L.K. Bennett, waist coat - Zara

I forever struggle transitioning from Winter to Spring. I love Spring but in England the weather is so temperamental that it is almost impossible to dress appropriately. It seems that whenever I wear a skirt or a short sleeve top, it is drizzling and whenever I am head to toe covered, the sun is more often than not, shining. It's a nightmare. It also doesn't help that my favourite colour is black and I wear it all year round so people are often saying to me - "why don't you wear a bright colour, you know... for Spring?" ... well, frankly, because I don't want to.

This day was really sunny, the first of any sun that we had here in the UK, but the wind was still pretty bad so I opted for some loose wide legs and a turtle neck. This meant that I didn't have anything that would stick to me if it did get too hot but I was warm enough if it got too cold. I chose to not wear a coat and instead chose this longline blazer which gave a bit of 'colour' to the outfit. I love the length of it and I think it works perfectly with my minimal slouchy look.

For now, it looks like the sun is here to stay (wow... unusual in England) so there will be more outfits for warm weather up sharpish!

Gee x
